For our second production, we ventured into the world of murder mystery, producing a thriller tinged with dark comedy. Along with our original cast, new JamDram members delivered a plot filled with unexpected twists, which kept our audience guessing “whodunnit?” right up until the end of the play.

A Fairy Unexpected Night
Written by Iain Macdonald
Directed by Iain Macdonald

This gentle comedy brought Jura myth and folklore to life in a derelict cottage setting. Mischievous fairies cause cars to ditch on a moonlit evening, bringing unsuspecting holidaymakers face-to-face with locals sharing ghost stories and island folklore around the fire.
The Fae enjoy the chaos unseen by non-believers, until a flour-covered hand appears and sends the visitors fleeing. The new stage proved perfect for Jura's brand of island storytelling.
