Jura Amateur Dramatics (JamDram) staged its first production in May 2022. It was a quirky comedy that brought laughter and surprises to the island community. The play was a collaborative effort, with island residents coming together to showcase their acting, set design and production talents. It was a memorable experience that left a lasting impact on everyone involved.

Prescription for Murder

For our second production, we ventured into the world of murder mystery, producing a thriller tinged with dark comedy. Along with our original cast, new JamDram members delivered a plot filled with unexpected twists, which kept our audience guessing “whodunnit?” right up until the end of the play.

In 2023, we managed to fit in a second production. This time a comedy, written by local resident Iain Macdonald. The production included some complicated and challenging staging which showcased the versatility of our performers and our stage crew.
